Congratulations to DIY poet Martin Grey who fought off stiff competition to win the accolade ‘Bard of Southwell’ at the Gate To Southwell Festival 2018. His winning poem was a tender look back at his Grandfather, fish and chips and cigarettes.

I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little
lost on everything. Would youu suggest starting with a free platform like
Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options
out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..
Any ideas? Kudos!
Thankyou Bob. WordPress.com is probably the best option for blogging out there. The only disadvantage is that you have fewer layout options but this is a plus when you are starting out. The best option for all aspiring writers is to write, write and write.
