Chapter and Verse is a meeting of performance and poetry, where verse and rhyme become a concept. Where storytelling comes alive.
Inspired by recent developments that have grown from the Nottingham poetry circuit, such as ‘Austerity Café’ and ‘From the Word Go’, Chapter and Verse provides an opportunity to showcase performances and concepts, and there will also be featured poets and an open mic.
The show takes place at Jam Café in the Hockley area of Nottingham, between 5:00 and 7:00 on a Saturday evening. It’s a time that is accessible for all, and allows time afterwards for more traditional Saturday night pursuits.
Curated by Martin Grey and Andy Szpuk.
Sign up for a poetry open mic slot from 4:30, arrive early to avoid disappointment.
This evening features the amazing DIY poets, who will pull out all the stops to entertain you. Money raised will go towards funding their next August’s residency at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
